Featured guest is the section of my website where I interview various cool individuals from authors, actors, musicians, artists and more. Tonight we spoke with Cindy Clark. Vocalist, photographer, model and more, the Los Angeles based Cindy is a true creative force in today’s indie music world. Fronting the popular progressive grunge band Earthsleep, she brings her inspirations into artistic expression singing with her partner Jonathan and band members Lamar and Mario. Living a full life with music as her guiding force, Cindy and I had a great conversation about her deep love for art , music and finding your way in life by following your heart and creativity.

Tonight we had a great conversation with widely popular guitarist/singer Rob Carlyle, the main man behind the NYC based critically acclaimed group The Compulsions. Rob has been cranking out pure rock and roll with several high profile EP’s and full lengths over the years all the way up to the latest album entitled “Ferocious.” We sat down and had a discussion about his history in music, song writing influences and latest news.  Very few people draw from the well of classic jams like Rob and it’s great to get a view from the inside of his rock and roll journey.

Today we sat down with great singer/guitarist the respected musician Mark Duda. After moving to the East Village in the 80's, he performed at notorious New York venues like the great CBGB’s and Continental Divide. Influenced by the New York Dolls, Dead Boys, and Johnny Thunders, Mark Duda gained wide recognition as the frontman for the group The Handful. The Handful have released four full-length albums since 2004, including Sons of Downtown in 2015. He recently released a new solo EP entitled "Month Of Sundays" which has been getting rave reviews and generated a lot of excitement. "A Month Of Sundays" sees Mark teaming up with some of the all time greats like legendary rhythm section Thommy Price and Kenny Aaronson (Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, Billy Idol), along with guitarist Jimi K. Bones (Blondie, Skin n’ Bones). The great Arno Hecht (Rolling Stones, Dion) and Bobby Rondinelli (Blue Oyster Cult) make guest appearances on the record, as does the Godfather of Punk Guitar, Cheetah Chrome (Dead Boys). Mark and I had a great discussion about his life history, music and more.

Today we had the pleasure of having a very interesting discussion with great musician Aaron Wall. Joined by his friend George Trujillo on drums, Wall is the singer/guitarist of the popular Texas based group Red Beard Wall. Aaron is a very down to earth, intelligent and soulful, genuine guy. I have truly appreciated the good Aaron sends my way. All Hail Mr.Wall as today we did an interview about his life, music and personal history.

Today we spoke with the very cool author and music journalist, the one and only Jim Cherry.  Haling from Chicago, Jim believed in the 'pursuit of experience as research in the name of art', spending time in New Orleans, Los Angeles, Germany, France and Mexico. These days he hangs back in the western suburbs of Chicago where he runs the writer's workshop at the Oswego,IL Library. Jim was a columnist for and appeared on The Rants, Raves and Rock 'n' Roll Magazine and radio show. He currently writes The Doors Examiner and is the author of the novels The Doors Examined, Becoming Angel, The Last Stage and a book of short stories entitled Stranger Souls. Jim has also had stories published in The Doors Collector Magazine. Jim wrote the foreword to "The Doors FAQ" by Rich Weidman and is a published poet. We talked a good bit about James Douglas Morrison and Doors history. A pleasure connecting with Jim and hearing his thoughts on the Doors, Morrison's life and Jim's news. - G

Standing tall in the band Ol' Time Moonshine, when he's not rocking the stage he's also a well loved artist working with groups like Foghound, Kings Destory, Earthride, Buzzard Canyon and others. Known to many for his group the mighty Wizard Eye, Erik is a soulful rock journeyman who has always been super cool to me. Today we had a good talk with world famous artist the notorious Brad Moore. Sharing with us some of his influences, life experiences, inspirations we get a look into his creative process. Known for work with comics, album covers for countless metal bands, and more Brad is a creative force not to mention a down to earth, very cool guy. Tonight we had the cool opportunity to interview long running, world renown veteran multi instrumentalist and all around very cool guy, none other than the great Erik Larson. Calling RVA home, Erik is known for many well loved bands and projects from ATP to his solo albums, The Might Could and holding down the drums these days in Backwoods Payback. I hadn't connected with Erik in a long time and it's been a real gift to speak with him and hear his news, talk a little about his past and history. Check out this awesome interview and enjoy. - G

Tonight we speak with the great blues musician and all around awesome lady, the super talented Mary Everhart. Mary and I talked about her music and history. She is a proud member of the Echota Cherokee Tribe of Alabama-Deer Clan, was nominated and inducted in 2010 by Jimmy Lloyd Rea into the Blues Hall of Fame as Great Blues Artist from Tallahassee, Florida. Later she was inducted again into the Blues Hall of Fame as the Ambassador to Tallahassee, Florida. It’s a pleasure to speak with her today, a stand out in independent music and excellent singer and songwriter in today’s music world.
